As more and more customers are leveraging the meta-data capabilities of SharePoint, we've been hearing more requests to add it within Tagle. However, we resisted the urge to forge ahead with this.
In our experience, metadata is not very well understood by the average end user of SharePoint. They prefer folders. Folders are simple to understand, simple to navigate and use (though admittedly not as functional as a metadata driven solution). If we're going to bring the benefits of metadata to users in Tagle, we want to make it simple. In other words, no 2 week training course or thick user manual.
So, here is our first cut. Same as always, just type to search, drag and drop. No need to change your behaviour. SIMPLE.

We are pleased to announce that Tagle has been approved as a Citrix Ready partner!
This means that those in the field who access corporate infrastructure through a terminal server environment can now enjoy the same intuitive, drag and drop, type to search usability of Tagle as those in the office, without the need to deploy Tagle on every desktop.

2.2.4 has been released with key improvements to file sorting and our support / feedback mechanism. If auto-updates are enabled you will be prompted to update to this version the next time you start Tagle. To enable auto-updates: in Tagle click File > Preferences and ensure the Enable Auto Update checkbox is checked. If not enabled, you can manually update with the the latest version from here or click "Check for updates" in the Tagle Help menu.
For any support issues, just click the new Feedback link at the top of the sidebar.

"Smart Folders"
Know what's missing - Entire folder trees, and placeholders for the required files, can be built out in a single click. Tagle shows you which folders have missing documents.
Automated naming - Just drag and drop to fill in the blanks. Imagine no more rejected regulatory submissions because you missed a "-" or a space in a pdf file name!

UPDATE: The latest Tagle installer version 2.1.2 has been released. No action is required on your part as you should be prompted for the upgrade by Tagle's auto-update. However, if auto-updates are blocked for you for some reason, the installer will be available for manual download from here.
"Show in Roughneck" link. Instantly jump to a Roughneck record by searching in Tagle and then clicking "Show in Roughneck". Tagle opens your browser right to that record in Roughneck.
"Email Workorder" link. Email Roughneck workorders through Outlook with a click. Tagle downloads and pastes the workorder details directly into a message.
IHS Inc [IHS:NYSE] showcased Tagle's new map search prototype / AccuMap integration at the IHS Expo and Gala on October 17, 2011. Hundreds of oil and gas customers were shown Tagle's "one click away from a map" document search capability.
Tagle for AccuMap enables users to right click on a well in AccuMap and instantly show all well related documents (LAS files, strip logs, etc) in the Tagle sidebar, regardless of where they're stored. Tagle gathers documents from the corporate LAN (shared drive), WellView, SharePoint, Roughneck, and other data sources. From the sidebar the files can be opened and edited, dragged onto the desktop, or dragged into an email to be shared.

Tagle for Google Apps is now listed in the Google Apps Marketplace. This Tagle Module indexes your Gmail account and groups information intelligently so you can easily view correspondence and attachments by contact or domain. The goal is to create more of a "people" and "company" centric view of your Google account and automate the tedious nature of traditional CRM.
We have started with very basic features for this first beta version and will use customer feedback as the primary driver for product evolution. We welcome any and all comments to please feel free to post feedback in our forum or in our Marketplace listing.
By the way; this is the new version of our "Simple CRM Module", but the two are not compatible. Click the Add Module button on the home page to add the Google Apps module and remove the old Simple CRM module.
